Technical Assistant

Job Overview:
As an assistant in the Technical Department, you will be involved in both fieldwork and technical tasks, helping to assess the performance of tourist restaurants, monitor their compliance with regulations and standards, and contribute to improving service quality within the sector.
This role requires a hands-on, meticulous individual who is able to liaise directly with various stakeholders.

Duties and Responsibilities:
• Participate in visits and field inspections of tourist restaurants in coordination with official tourism committees.
• Carry out follow-up work on tourist establishments (restaurants and food establishments).
• Monitor establishments’ compliance with approved regulations, instructions, and standards.
• Contribute to the assessment and classification of tourist establishments in accordance with approved standards.
• Support the preparation of professional and accurate assessment and inspection reports and submit them to management.
• Coordinate with restaurant owners and managers to support service improvement.
• Contribute to the collection and analysis of data relating to establishments’ performance and compliance.
• Assist in explaining classification criteria in a simplified manner to sector employees.
• Monitor updates to relevant local and international standards.

• Respond to restaurants’ enquiries regarding technical matters.
• Represent the Association professionally during site visits.
• Maintain confidentiality and work as part of a team.

Qualifications and requirements:
• A bachelor’s degree in tourism, hospitality management, or a related field.
• At least five (5) years’ experience in the tourism or restaurant sector (preferred).
• Excellent communication skills in both Arabic and English.
• Ability to prepare reports accurately and professionally.
• Ability to work in the field and travel within the Kingdom.
• Strong personality capable of dealing with diverse groups

• Organisational and teamwork skills.
• Own car preferred.

• Analytical skills to assess compliance with standards and identify areas for improvement.
