The Waiter Assistant (Runner & Busser) plays a key role in supporting the service team to ensure smooth and efficient dining operations. The primary responsibilities include:
Assisting waiters in serving food and beverages to customers
Helping in setting up tables
Delivering food orders from the kitchen to the service area and returning dishes
Clearing and resetting tables, removing used dishes, glassware, and cutlery
Supporting in the preparation of salads, cold dishes, desserts, and brewing coffee and tea
Assisting in basic beverage preparation
Informing waiters of any unavailable or delayed items
Communicating customer needs or special requests to the waiters
Replenishing supplies and equipment
Refilling salt, pepper, sugar, and condiments containers
Polishing utensils, glassware, and dishware
Cleaning and sanitizing workstations and tools according to health and safety standards
Assisting in garbage disposal
Participating in events, buffets, and other food service operations when required
Following instructions from waiters and supervisors
Attending scheduled meetings and training programs
Ability to work under pressure
