Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Demi Chef de Partie to join our culinary team at Opal Hotel. This role supports the Chef de Partie in a specific section of the kitchen—such as appetizers, desserts, or main courses—and plays an essential role in daily kitchen operations, food preparation, and maintaining high culinary standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Food Preparation:
- Prepare essential ingredients for daily menu items.
- Cook dishes under the supervision of the Chef de Partie, following recipes and quality standards.
- Daily Operations Support:
- Assist in organizing workflow within the assigned kitchen section.
- Accurately and promptly prepare dishes according to orders.
- Cleanliness & Quality Control:
- Adhere to food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards.
- Ensure the quality and freshness of ingredients used.
- Stock Management:
- Monitor inventory levels and report reordering needs.
- Help reduce food waste through efficient resource management.
- Team Collaboration:
- Work as part of a cohesive kitchen team and communicate effectively with colleagues.
- Assist in training and guiding junior kitchen staff when needed.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Previous experience in a similar culinary role, preferably in the same kitchen section.
- Strong knowledge of cooking techniques and kitchen tools.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Commitment to following instructions from the Chef de Partie and Executive Chef.
Work Environment:
- Professional kitchen environment requiring discipline and precision.
- Long working hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
