Scope of Work:

Under the general guidance and supervision of the Restaurant Supervisor, the individual assists in directing and controlling service to ensure the highest level of guest satisfaction.
 They are responsible for serving restaurant guests, acting as the first and last point of contact, taking food and beverage orders professionally while striving to upsell menu items. Additionally, they are tasked with presenting and settling bills, ensuring accurate payments and change handling in compliance with standard procedures.
 It is essential to foster a culture of excellence, including doing the right thing, showing genuine care, aspiring for growth, and working better together as a unified team to achieve goals and deliver positive results.

Objective Goals:

  • Demonstrate full awareness of operational costs and maintain strict control to avoid any waste.
  • Exhibit a willingness to learn and show enthusiasm for the job at all times.
  • Ensure the highest standards of personal hygiene and adherence to sanitation policies per hotel regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure restaurant tables are arranged appropriately and per required standards at all times, ensuring no shortage of necessary service items.
  • Take full responsibility for assisting the Busboy/Runner in workflow-related matters only, excluding non-operational issues such as leaves or absences, which remain under the direct supervisor's responsibility.
  • Attend all designated training sessions provided by management and relay information accurately to the team.
  • Ensure all service materials are properly maintained and report any damaged items while avoiding their use.
  • Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of dishware and glassware and their correct uses.
  • Develop familiarity with the restaurant's food, beverage, and wine menus and their proper service techniques.
  • Actively promote menu items to increase sales, presenting them in an appealing and professional manner.
  • Assist with additional tasks assigned by the supervisor (e.g., inventory, bar assistance).
  • Ensure timely and proper delivery of food items without leaving prepared dishes unattended in the kitchen.
  • Maintain clean and orderly work areas.
  • Greet guests warmly and maintain a constant smile in the workplace.
  • Prioritize assisting children and providing them with extra care.
  • Address guest complaints promptly, attempting to resolve them appropriately and escalating to the supervisor if necessary.
  • Inform the supervisor of any potential hazards immediately to ensure swift resolution.
  • Perform assigned duties diligently, ensuring guest needs are met promptly and efficiently according to proper procedures.
  • Guarantee smooth workflow and successful task completion.
  • Foster positive relationships among staff, creating an atmosphere of trust and teamwork.
  • Instill self-discipline as a positive example to inspire the team.

Guest Service:

  • Exhibit service qualities aligned with company expectations and standards, including:
    • Paying close attention to guests at all times.
    • Maintaining a high level of knowledge that positively impacts the guest experience.
    • Delivering efficient and effective service.

Self-Management:

  • Adhere to hotel rules and regulations.
  • Maintain company standards in appearance and grooming, with strict attention to personal hygiene. Always wear a clean uniform and name badge.
  • Follow timekeeping policies and arrive punctually at work without excuses or delays.
  • Actively participate in training and development programs and continuously work on self-improvement.
  • Serve as a role model for others.

Health, Safety, and Security:

  • Take full responsibility for ensuring the health and safety of guests and colleagues seriously.
  • Be fully informed about emergency procedures and fire evacuation protocols.
  • Consistently provide and update the required health certificate to avoid liability with regulatory authorities.

  • Maintain the highest level of care and service for guests and colleagues, demonstrating consistent cooperation.
  • Be fully knowledgeable about all hotel facilities and answer colleague inquiries promptly, courteously, and informatively.
