Job Summary:
Responsible for preparing and serving high-quality hot and cold beverages in accordance with Opal Hotel standards, ensuring excellent guest service, maintaining cleanliness, and managing beverage inventory efficiently.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Prepare all hot beverages (espresso drinks, brewed coffee, tea, hot chocolate, etc.) professionally.
- Prepare cold beverages (fresh juices, iced coffees, mojitos, frappes, signature drinks).
- Operate and maintain espresso machines, grinders, and all bar equipment.
- Take guest orders politely and serve beverages with proper presentation.
- Ensure all ingredients are fresh, well-stored, and within quality standards.
- Maintain cleanliness of the bar area, equipment, and tools at all times.
- Monitor stock levels and report shortages to the supervisor.
- Follow HACCP and hotel hygiene and safety procedures.
- Decorate and present drinks according to hotel standards.
- Assist the service team during peak hours to ensure smooth operations.
- Adhere to all operational procedures and service guidelines.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a barista in hotels or cafés.
- Strong knowledge of coffee preparation and extraction techniques.
- Ability to prepare a wide variety of cold beverages.
- Excellent communication skills and presentable appearance.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Good English language skills preferred.
