Job Description
 We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Steward to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring cleanliness and organization in the kitchen and dining areas, as well as assisting in the proper maintenance and storage of kitchen equipment and utensils. You will support the kitchen and restaurant staff by performing various tasks related to the cleaning and maintenance of all service areas.

Key Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize all kitchen and dining area equipment, including dishes, utensils, glassware, and cooking equipment.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, storage areas, and workstations.
• Assist chefs and kitchen staff with food preparation and ingredient storage.
• Ensure proper handling and disposal of waste according to health and safety standards.
• Ensure the cleanliness of all floors, walls, and other kitchen areas.
• Assist in setting up and breaking down kitchen and dining areas before and after service.
• Help with the transportation of food and supplies between the kitchen and dining areas.
• Maintain inventory and assist with stock rotation to minimize waste.
• Support the kitchen and restaurant team by responding to requests and helping with miscellaneous tasks.
• Ensure compliance with safety, cleanliness, and hygiene standards in all areas.
• Report any damage or malfunction of kitchen equipment to the supervisor.
• Perform additional cleaning duties or tasks as requested by supervisors or senior staff.

Basic Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proven experience as a Steward or in a similar cleaning/maintenance role in a hospitality or foodservice environment.
• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, disinfectants, and safety procedures.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and under pressure.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining cleanliness.
• Good physical stamina and the ability to stand for long periods.
• Ability to follow instructions and perform tasks as directed.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.

Preferred Skills/Experience

• Experience working in a high-volume kitchen or restaurant environment is a plus.
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations is a plus.
• Ability to handle kitchen equipment and tools safely and efficiently.
