Job Overview:
As a Cafe Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the café, including staff management, customer service, inventory control, financial management, and maintaining high standards of quality. You will lead a team to deliver excellent service and help grow our business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage all aspects of café operations, including customer service, food and beverage quality, and staff performance.
- Hire, train, and supervise a team of baristas, servers, and kitchen staff.
- Develop staff schedules and ensure sufficient coverage during peak hours.
- Foster a friendly, engaging atmosphere while providing outstanding customer service.
- Handle inventory management, including ordering supplies and ensuring stock levels are maintained.
- Monitor food safety, hygiene, and cleanliness standards across the café.
- Ensure financial targets are met, including budgeting, sales forecasting, and expense management.
- Create and execute marketing campaigns and promotions to attract customers.
- Maintain the café’s online presence and social media profiles.
- Respond to customer inquiries, feedback, and complaints promptly and professionally.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in café, restaurant, or foodservice management (at least 2-3 years).
- Strong leadership and people management skills.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Proficiency in using POS systems and Microsoft Office.
- Knowledge of food safety, sanitation practices, and health regulations.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and under pressure.
- Financial acumen, including budgeting and cost control.
