  2. Job Purpose:
    Achieve growth in the conference and events department's revenues by developing and implementing effective sales strategies. This includes leading the sales team, negotiating deals, building long-term relationships with clients, and coordinating with other departments to ensure the delivery of high-quality events that satisfy customers. The ultimate goal is to enhance the establishment's market position and increase market share by providing exceptional services that meet customer needs.
  3. Primary Responsibilities:
    Lead and guide the conference and events sales team to achieve revenue goals by developing effective sales strategies, attracting new clients, and maintaining relationships with existing clients. This involves negotiating deals, coordinating with other departments to ensure high-quality event execution, and achieving customer satisfaction. The goal is to enhance the establishment's market position and increase revenues from conference and event services through effective team management and successful business strategies.
  4. Job Tasks:
  1. Managing the Sales Team:
    • Lead and guide the conference and events sales team to achieve monthly and annual sales goals.
    • Provide continuous training and support to the sales team to improve performance and productivity.
    • Evaluate team performance and motivate them to ensure desired results are achieved.
  2. Developing Sales Strategies:
    • Develop and implement effective sales strategies to increase revenues from conference and event services.
    • Identify new sales and marketing opportunities to expand the client base and increase market share.
    • Monitor and analyze market trends and customer needs to identify new growth opportunities.
  3. Negotiating and Closing Deals:
    • Negotiate with clients regarding commercial offers and contracts for conferences and events.
    • Ensure deals are closed professionally in line with the establishment's financial and commercial goals.
    • Follow up with clients after signing contracts to ensure terms are executed correctly.
  4. Coordinating with Other Departments:
    • Coordinate with other teams such as operations, kitchen, and maintenance to ensure events are executed according to required standards.
    • Ensure that all involved departments work seamlessly to provide a smooth customer experience.
  5. Managing Client Relationships:
    • Build strong, long-term relationships with both existing and new clients.
    • Provide ongoing support to clients and ensure their complete satisfaction after every event.
    • Follow up on customer feedback to improve future services.
  6. Achieving Revenue Targets:
    • Monitor sales performance and ensure revenue goals are met.
    • Prepare periodic reports for senior management on the sales department’s performance and provide necessary analysis to improve operations.
  7. Marketing and Promoting Conference and Events Services:
    • Organize promotional campaigns for conference and event services and company events.
    • Participate in industry-related exhibitions and conferences to increase awareness of services and expand the client base.
  8. Preparing Reports and Analyzing Data:
    • Collect and analyze sales, customer, and market data to ensure continuous growth.
    • Prepare detailed reports on revenues, sales activities, and team performance.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a related field.
  • At least 10 years of experience in conference and event sales, with at least 2 years in a Managerial role.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and persuasion skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of the market and competition in the conference and events sector.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multi-tasking teams.
  • Ability to prepare and analyze sales reports.
  • Proficiency in using computer programs such as MS Office and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software.
  • Leadership skills with the ability to motivate the team and achieve goals.
  • Problem-solving skills and the ability to make quick and effective decisions.
  • Ability to build strong relationships with clients and potential clients.
  • Attention to detail to ensure the best customer experience.
